Support the CHTA Education Foundation Raffle and be entered for a prize of a 4-days/3-nights all-inclusive at Sunset at the Palms, in Negril, Jamaica.
MIAMI (June 10, 2021) – The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) is continuing its fundraising activities to help develop and promote the careers of as many Caribbean hospitality students and professionals as possible, this time teaming up with Sunset at the Palms in Negril, Jamaica.
The foundation’s fundraising has been supporting training and education initiatives for hospitality professionals in the region since 1986.
Sunset at the Palms, a treehouse-style, adults-only, all-inclusive boutique hotel in Negril, Jamaica, donated a 4-days/3-nights all-inclusive stay to support ongoing hospitality training programs.
“The support from the region continues to grow strong. Sunset at the Palms joins a growing list of amazing resorts from the Caribbean that have donated stay packages benefiting CHTAEF initiatives,” says the foundation’s chair, Karolin Troubetzkoy. “We are starting to hit our stride and the goal is to make this a more regular occurrence. Stay tuned for more great raffles and heartfelt thank you to Sunset at the Palms for their donation and commitment towards hospitality careers in the region.”
Raffle tickets for the Sunset at the Palms prize draw begin at US$55. The drawing closes on Tuesday, June 25. To participate, visit https://go.eventgroovefundraising.com/2020sunsetatthepalms.
CHTAEF invests all proceeds supporting scholars in accredited academic programs in US, Europe and the Caribbean to develop the next generation of Caribbean tourism success stories while creating programs for current industry staff and managers which energize and elevate their professional development and growth. Funds raised by the foundation helped train more than 750 hospitality staff in 2019 and have provided more than 80 scholarships in the past five years.
The hospitality industry is critical for the Caribbean, drawing millions of visitors every year and creating more employment, advancement opportunities and earnings than any other industry in the region. CHTAEF training programs and scholarships help to empower staff and provide opportunities for advancement for the hardworking staff upon whom the industry relies.
