The CHTA Education Foundation family joins in mourning the loss of Honourable Nick Troubetzkoy, SLC, SLMH, beloved husband of our esteemed Chairperson, Karolin Troubetzkoy, and a luminary in the hospitality sector.
Through his visionary leadership, Nick helped shape Saint Lucia’s global identity, crafting iconic architecture and experiences at Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet. His passion for sustainable tourism and his deep love for the island enriched countless lives and strengthened the island’s hospitality industry.
Beyond his remarkable contributions to Saint Lucia, Nick was a steadfast supporter of education, and through his award-winning Jade Mountain, contributed to our travel auctions and most recently a generous donation to the Tourism Resilience Scholarship Fund, empowering Caribbean hospitality professionals to excel and build a resilient future for our region.
Nick’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of education and his belief in nurturing talent within our region will remain a cornerstone of his legacy. His kindness, vision, and commitment to excellence touched many lives and has left an indelible mark on the Caribbean tourism landscape.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Karolin, their family, and all who were fortunate to know Nick. May his legacy continue to inspire, and may his memory bring comfort during this difficult time.
