Today, we pay tribute to the legacy of Warren Binder, a stalwart of the Education Foundation.
Binder’s illustrious journey spanned over half a century in the tourism sector, founding Creative Travel Consultants in 1970. His expertise stretched across senior roles in sales, marketing, and management within various entities across the Caribbean, Bahamas, the United States, and other global locations.
Binder’s influence was particularly notable in the Caribbean tourism landscape. His consultancy services were sought after by both private and public sectors for evaluating and enhancing resort development, alongside sales, marketing, reservations, and communication strategies for hotels, resort venues, destinations, tourist boards, airlines, and tour operators.
For 35 years, Binder was a vital part of CHTA, also chairing the Caribbean Travel Marketplace Committee.
Adam Binder, his son, reflects, “He was my mentor, and I was so proud to follow him and my grandfather in the hospitality industry in the Caribbean! He was loved by his family and also his extended family in the Bahamas/Caribbean and was an Icon in the leisure tourism world.
“The CHTA Education Foundation was a huge passion of my dad, he would walk the Marketplace floor telling (not asking) hoteliers to donate room nights to auction off to raise money to better the education of youth in the Caribbean. If you feel inclined, please donate to this cause.”
