The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation conducted a number of training programs across the region in 2019.
Here are the highlights.
BARBADOS
The support from our partners and donors allowed us to successfully deliver two workshops for members of the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association.
ST. KITTS & NEVIS
Virgin Holidays and the St. Kitts – Nevis Hotel & Tourism Association with additional support from the Education Foundation and Royal St. Kitts Hotel provided three days of training for association members.
On November 9, 11, and 12, 2019 we delivered the Heartfelt Guest Care to Welcome the World! to 70 hospitality professionals on St. Kitts & Nevis.
ST. MAARTEN
The CHTA Education Foundation in partnership with Interval International provided 85 hospitality professionals with professional development workshops from October 1 to 4 at Simpson Bay Resort & Marina in St. Maarten.
Our training in St Maarten benefited over 80 Hospitality workers already in the industry who wanted to further their education, improve on their qualifications and advance their careers in the world’s largest and fastest growing sector, tourism.

TOBAGO
Virgin Holidays and the Tobago Hotel & Tourism Association with additional support from the Education Foundation and Coco Reef Resorts delivered Heartfelt Guest Care to Welcome the World! training in October 2019.
The training, which was sold out allowed us to energize 52 Tobagonian hospitality professionals in a destination that Goes Beyond Ordinary!
GRENADA
Virgin Holidays and Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association along with the Education Foundation and True Blue Bay Boutique Resort enabled 78 hospitality professionals in the enchanting islands of Pure Grenada to improve their understanding and capacity to give deliver world class service.
The sold-out training was held October 11, 12, 14, 2019.
ST. LUCIA
Our St. Lucia Heartfelt Guest Care to Welcome the World! training in St. Lucia was sold out.
CHTA Education Foundation and Virgin Holidays were pleased to support 182 hospitality professionals with special thanks to the St. Lucia Hotel & Tourism Association & the Tourism Enhancement Fund for additional sponsorship which added four extra days!
BARBADOS SOLD OUT!
CHTA Education Foundation and Virgin Holidays partnered to support 150 Barbados hospitality professionals in accessing the Heartfelt Guest Care to Welcome the World! training in May, 2019.
ARUBA
THE Education Foundation along with their sponsor Interval International brought training to nearly 70 hospitality industry employees from 14 Aruba-based resorts in December 2018 and participating member resorts earlier this year.
